Can Physical Pain Hurt Mental Health?

Greenville Chriopractor

This week, pain was my main focus. I also wanted to highlight that physical pain isn't the only kind of pain that you should pay attention to. Mental health is very important. After all, your brain is what controls the rest of your body, so if that isn't healthy, how can you expect the rest of you to be? Never feel worried or judged that you may need to ask for help from a mental perspective. We have all been there, and there is certainly nothing to be ashamed of.
While we here at Wirth can't do much of anything about mental health problems, we certainly can help with physical pain. Sometimes pain is a physical manifestation of mental health issues, but whatever the cause, we can certainly attempt to make the pain stop. This is true of any joint or muscle pain. While chiropractors have a stereotype of dealing with the neck and back, we can actually work on any part of the body as long as there is a joint. This means that arms, legs, hands, and feet are all within our realm of capabilities.
It doesn't matter what age you are, pain can strike anyone at any time. We know this is true, and we know that some disorders don't have a definite diagnosis yet. This means that we understand that just because you don't have a name to put to your pain doesn't mean you don't have it. Too often, people in the medical community disregard reports of pain if there is not an obvious reason for it. Here at Wirth, we understand that pain can sometimes be felt and not pinned down. This is common with people who suffer from certain forms of arthritis and fibromyalgia. This is especially true if they are younger, as there is a false belief that these types of disorders are for those who are older. We know that this is not always true.
If you are suffering from pain, aches, stiffness, or any other problems like these, please head into Wirth Chiropractic in Greenville, NC. We will do everything within our power to make you feel better and send you home pain free. Even just a single spinal adjustment can make a huge difference, although we do recommend coming back on a regular basis. Not only will it help you, but then we get to see you more often. It's a win-win!
